Which also happened to be International Firefighters Day. “Probie Class 25-01” began for the 4 newest Yorktown Heights Volunteer Firefighters in the Spring/Summer session of our YHFD Probationary Volunteer Firefighter Orientation Program. At 11:38hrs on Wednesday, May 7th. Yorktown Heights Fire was requested to respond with Ladder 51 for the 10-75 (Working Fire) on Newton Ct to assist the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. Car 2532, and Ladder 51 with 5 Yorktown Heights Volunteer Firefighters responded on the run. While en-route the 2nd alarm was transmitted by E-119 bringing in additional resources into the scene. On Saturday, April 26th at 1901hrs. Yorktown Heights Fire was dispatched to the Taconic State Parkway NB in the area of the Illington Rd bridge for a reported MVA w/ injuries.
